Perhaps it’s because I’m wearing green nail polish…or that St. Patty’s Day was this week…but I’m in a very green mood. It is, after all, such a lovely color!

I don’t know how great I’d look in an emerald green gown (or anything that color, dress or otherwise), but can’t these celebs pull it off wonderfully?! Gotta love it!

So maybe you’re not in the market for a gorgeous gown but you’re in love with the color. What to do?! How about some emerald accessories? There are many, many things to choose from: handbags, shoes, belts, jewelry. If you’re looking to splurge, maybe you could brows some emerald rings? I know I always love me some jewels.

Whatever accessory you end up adding to your closet, pair it with an all-black outfit or dress to really make the green pop!

Bows have been a beloved bridal accessory for years and given their feminine nature and timeless look, I think they’ll be around for quite a while.

And since they have had a presence for so long, brides have been finding fun places to tie ribbons into bows before they walk down the aisle. Check out this peachy bridal style inspiration with some sweet and delicate bow touches.

Few color combinations are more classic and formal than black and white. I don’t think it ever goes out of style, but this season it’s definitely a look that brides are going for.

Black accents are popping up in unique, unexpected areas. Check out these fabulous examples from Jenny Packham, Vera Wang, and Tara Keely.

Not sure how to incorporate black into your own wedding day look? Here are some tips:

Use it to accent your best feature. If you have a tiny waist, try a sash. If your shoulders are to die for, try a dress with some black accents around the neckline. You get the idea!

Don’t over do it. Black accents are perfect in the right amount, but if you over do it, your dress may end up looking more like modern art then a modern bride’s wedding dress (don’t get us wrong – we love mod stuff so if this is the look you want, go for it!). To keep things simple, just pick one or two elements, like a sash and shoes, and let the accenting stop there.

Use it in unexpected places. Your black accents don’t have to be tied around your waist or stitched onto your dress. Try dresses that have a black lining or a black petticoat. Or, keep your dress all white and wear a black headpiece (like a birdcage veil) or jewelry.

Use it with your bridesmaids. Black and white, no matter how classic, is pretty bold. Help your bridal party, especially your bridesmaids, blend together by incorporating black into their ensembles as well. That doesn’t mean you have to have black bridesmaids dresses (though we love Bridesmaids in Black). Pastel colors really pop with black accents, as do bright, vibrant colors.
