FAQs
1. How long will it take to get my dress?
From the day you place an order, the creation and shipping process will take twelve to sixteen weeks (in other words, three to four months).
2. How far in advance should I place my custom dress order?
The sooner the better. We recommend that you place your order with us at least six to eight months before your wedding date to ensure ample time for construction of the dress and any necessary time for additional alterations that might be needed.
3. What fabrics are available for my gown?
We can create dresses with satin, taffeta, chiffon, organza, lace, and tulle. Silk and other fabrics are available upon request.
4. How will you get my measurements?
If you decided to have a dress made, we will provide you with a measurement document that lists the measurements we need, along with pictures and descriptions of each to help you take your measurements yourself (or have a friend help out).
5. How will my dress arrive?
Each dress is steamed and placed in a breathable dress bag, then shipped in a sturdy box via UPS, USPS, or FedEx.
6. Can you make designer inspired gowns?
We do not make designer inspired (read: knockoff) dresses. Aside from the fact that we do not want to steal other designer’s ideas, it is virtually impossible for us to create one dress exactly like another. We can, on the other hand, work with you to tweak a design to better fit your style if you have found a single inspirational dress.
7. How much will my custom dress cost?
Because every dress is unique, no two are priced exactly the same. Price depends on design complexity, fabric choices and detail work desired. If you would like an exact number, contact us with your inspiration photos or sketches and we’ll send you a quote. We pride ourselves on being able to provide quality custom gowns at affordable prices! Please note, shipping is included in quoted price.
8. How can I make a payment for my dress?
We accept payments through PayPal, which does not require you to set up an account in order to make payments.
9. How does your billing work?
Upon placing an order with us, we require a $300.00 nonrefundable deposit. After production of your dress is complete, we notify you that the remaining balance is due. We ship the dress as soon as the dress has been fully paid for.
10. How are you able to offer such fabulous prices on your dresses?
We work with ateliers from abroad who are able to employ top notch craftswomen (and men) at much lower prices than we would be able to in the US. After investigating working conditions, we are confident in our partners’ labor and business practices.
ORDER POLICY
We cannot accept orders that are placed less than six (6) months prior to the customer’s wedding date. We must allow enough time for each dress to be carefully made and packaged and shipped properly, and do not wish to be responsible for a bride not receiving her dress in time.
RETURN POLICY
If there is absolutely anything physically wrong with your dress because of inappropriate handling due to the shipping process or poor construction, you will receive a full refund. We do our absolute best to prevent this from happening by working with quality suppliers, inspecting each dress multiple times before shipping and utilizing proper packaging.
If you get your dress and for whatever reason decide it turned out to be something other than you imagined, you can send it back! We will refund 80% of your final payment as soon as we receive the returned item.
